GES Gunport Breaching Frame: Precise and Effective Breaching

The GES Gunport Breaching Frame from Gryphon is a specially designed PVC plastic explosive frame developed to enable precise breaching during critical operations. The frame can be filled with water or sand to enhance tamping effect and uses the same support poles as the standard GBF-1VS and GBF-1VF Folding Frames, providing flexibility and efficiency in the field.

• Flexibility: Compatible with various explosive types, including:

  • Sheet Explosive: Various widths and thicknesses, RDX or PETN based

  • Linear Shaped Charge: 100 gr./ft. (20 g/m) to 2200 gr./ft. (500 g/m), copper- or lead-lined

  • Detonating Cord: 50 gr./ft. to 500 gr./ft. (10 g/m to 110 g/m)

  • Extrudable Explosive: RDX-based (DEMEX 100) or PETN-based (DEXS)

• Precision: Produces an opening of approximately 16 x 16 inches (40 x 40 cm), depending on target material and explosive used.

• Rugged Construction:

  • Weight per unit: empty – 4.4 lb (2 kg); water-filled – 19.8 lb (9 kg); salt-filled – 21.3 lb (9.7 kg)

• Capacity: Fill volume – 1.85 gal. (7 liters)
